Keynote (10:30 a.m.) - Paul Edison-Swift, ELCA Director for Interactive Media and Networks, works with new and varied media every day. What role can electronic communication play in your congregation?

Lunch (12:00 noon) - This is a great time for networking, plus you get a free meal!

Workshops (1:00 p.m. & 2:15 p.m.):
Each workshop will be offered twice, once during each time slot.

• Basics of Microsoft Office - Whether you're new to your position and not quite comfortable with your computer or you just wish you could use these programs more effectively, Jill Horstmann of Software EXCELerators will share her Office expertise.

• Office set-up/organization - Church offices frequently use old and/or donated furniture and equipment. Come get some ideas from Becky Vinz, Schmidt Goodman Office Products, for materials and equipment that might make your job easier.

• Makings of a good news story - For help writing a story that people will actually read and with getting your congregation's news into the hands of the media, turn to Matt Russell, Rochester Post Bulletin.

• Telling the story of the ELCA - You probably see hundreds of messages coming across your desk or through your e-mail. How do you deal with them all? Shirley Gangstad, synod vice president and mission interpreter, will help sort through the story of the larger church and how you can pass that on.
