In 2007 a group from Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Rochester, Minn., travelled to the Central Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania for a technology assessment at the request of the Diocese. In November 2011, four members returned to help with the next step of the project: bringing the internet and laptop computers to schools in Kiomboi and Kijota.
The group wrote a blog about their experiences. Visit mountoliverochester.blogspot.com/ for more pictures and stories from the trip.

The group met the students at the Vivian Gulleen High School for girls in Kijota and brought them one of the computers they will receive. More will come as they are available. The computers they currently have are mostly outdated and/or broken. One use for these computers will be to supplement their library with CD-based learning. Their library is currently sparse due to the difficulty of getting books.
