Time with the Treasurer

I'm Tammy Dahlvang, and I serve as the treasurer of the Southeastern Minnesota Synod!

Paid Leave benefits will start for Minnesotans on January 1, 2026. In order to prepare congregations for this new statewide Paid Leave program, I'd like to provide you with some information and resources; there are some ins and outs that churches might not be expecting. Please know that even very part-time employees qualify for MN Paid Leave, and churches will need to pay it. Churches should set up an account on the state's unemployment website that is for Paid Leave only, and they should set it up and start reporting wages now.
