Bishop Patricia Lull was elected to serve the Saint Paul Area Synod in 2024. She is currently in her second term as synod bishop. With a background in seminary administration, campus ministry, and congregational ministry, she delights in the complex challenges of being a Christian in the 21st century. She serves as co-chair for the US Lutheran-Catholic Dialogue and was named this past year as the co-chair of the International Lutheran-Catholic Committee on Unity.
She enjoys reading contemporary fiction, especially murder mysteries in ecclesiastical settings, the unending challenges of taming a perennial boulevard garden, and making paper sculptures. Stranded on a desert island with only one food source, she would choose Extra Toasty Cheez-its. Her favorite bible story is the commissioning of Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46-52.
