Pr. Matt Larson joined the Office of the Bishop staff in November 2019 after serving as the Pastor of the Burr Oak and Hesper Lutheran Parish (NEIA Synod, ELCA) for 13 years. From his home congregation in Hudson, Wisconsin, to rural settings in Divide County, North Dakota, Ottertail County, Minnesota, and Winneshiek County, Iowa, he has been actively involved in rural ministry for 20 years and is passionate about helping rural congregations thrive. He is the husband of Pastor Amy Zalk Larson (St. Paul's Lutheran, Red Wing, MN), and father to Nathan (20) and Abby (16). Matt is an avid reader, a semi-proficient cook, and enthusiastic about hunting, camping, and canoeing.
