Keeping the Little Pantry Full

In 2023, the Education Committee and Sunday School children of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wanamingo saw a need for a Little Food Pantry in their small town.  There is no local food shelf, and with the increasing prices, the need for local food resources is growing. That fall, they secured funds and were able to put up a Little Food Pantry right outside the church doors. The goal was to keep this pantry full and thriving, both through donations and community food drives. As a recipient of a 2024 SEMN Synod Food Ministry Grant, they were able to purchase an additional $500 worth of groceries and personal supplies to keep this pantry fully stocked as a community resource.
