In order to live out our synod’s mission of walking together proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, it is important that we all make concrete commitments. The staff of the Office of the Bishop, your conference leadership, and your synod colleagues are available to support you in the living out of these commitments. Thank you for your ministry in the Southeastern Minnesota Synod.
• I will embrace a spirit of collegiality in all synod relationships.
• I will attend the annual Bishop’s Fall Theological Conference.
• I will attend the annual Southeastern Minnesota Synod Assembly and ensure voting members from my congregation also attend.
• I will attend the monthly conference meetings.
• I will submit my annual Report to the Bishop.
• I will participate in an Annual Ministry Review with the appropriate leadership of my congregation every year.
• I will participate in at least 50 hours of continuing education per year.
• I will attend a boundaries workshop every 3 years.
• I will respect and uphold the accompaniment model in all areas of ministry.
• I will collaborate with the leadership of my congregation to ensure a congregational intent form is submitted each year specifying our plan for Mission Support.
• I will ensure the congregation’s parochial report is submitted annually.
